
Overview
Hannah Miller is an experienced litigator and legal advisor who represents clients in complex business disputes, including class actions, in state and federal courts and before arbitral tribunals nationwide.
Hannah has represented clients in a wide range of industries including finance, biopharma, retail, media, technology, and entertainment, and has deep experience handling claims involving allegations of fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, copyright and trademark violations, and violations of securities and consumer protection laws.
Hannah has repeatedly achieved favorable outcomes for her clients at both the trial and appellate levels, including a groundbreaking jury verdict in a first-of-its-kind crypto fraud class action. She is adept at developing creative legal strategies and drafting persuasive briefs and has argued before the New York Appellate Division and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Second and Sixth Circuits.
Prior to joining DTO, Hannah clerked for the Honorable Vera M. Scanlon in the Eastern District of New York. She spent over a decade litigating high-stakes disputes at a large international law firm.
In addition to being a litigator, Hannah is a lifelong theatre kid with a passion for language and good stories. Outside of work, she can most often be found running in Prospect Park, enjoying new musicals, or exploring Brooklyn and beyond with her husband and two kids.

Won groundbreaking jury verdict in first-of-its kind crypto fraud class action trial.
Obtained dismissal of proposed class action against biopharma company related to alleged misrepresentations regarding its fentanyl-based painkiller.
Won multiple appeals in the Second Circuit on behalf of trustee overseeing the liquidation of Lehman Brothers, Inc. in connection with the largest bankruptcy in history.
Obtained summary judgment and dismissal of copyright infringement claims against major American media company and successfully defended related appeals in the Second Circuit.
Obtained order granting a petition for discovery pursuant to CPLR 3102, requiring the turnover of evidence in New York for purposes of use in a foreign proceeding, and successfully defended multiple related appeals.
Represented founder and former CEO of publicly traded company in numerous private lawsuits relating to allegations of fraud and breach of fiduciary duties stemming from SEC/DOJ investigation into business practices.
Represented major performing rights organization in DOJ investigation and multiple lawsuits related to organization’s IP rights.
