Overview
Will Irvine is an experienced litigator and former federal law clerk whose practice focuses on complex commercial matters and class actions. He deploys innovative, strategic solutions to nuanced legal issues and has represented a variety of business clients before federal and state courts, as well as in arbitration tribunals. He was named by Best Lawyers in America as “One to Watch” in 2022, 2024, and 2025.
During his career, Will has had the opportunity to manage all aspects of litigation, including motion practice and high-volume discovery. Most recently, he played a key role in the successful dismissal of a consumer class action in federal court in favor of a Fortune 100 company. On the pro bono side, his work has focused on voting rights, criminal justice reform, and environmental justice. Prior to private practice, Will served as a law clerk to the Honorable Sheryl H. Lipman (United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee).
Before attending law school, Will was a teacher and high school swimming coach in Seoul, South Korea. He is a native of Memphis, Tennessee, to which he credits his deep love for music and basketball.

Experience
On behalf of a food manufacturer and large retailer, drafted a motion to dismiss a false advertising class action in federal court. The motion resulted in a complete dismissal of the action.
On behalf of a supplements manufacturer in a complex breach of contract and fraud suit, managed a voluminous discovery phase before securing a favorable settlement for my client in mediation.
On behalf of an individual plaintiff in a dispute over a large insurer’s bad faith failure to pay, drafted federal appellate briefing on unsettled constitutional issue. That briefing resulted in a complete victory for my client.
