DTO To Receive CLA’s Prestigious Diversity Award

DTO Law will receive the California Lawyers Association’s prestigious Diversity Award for its outstanding contributions to the legal profession. The award will be presented to DTO at CLA’s Annual Meeting on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel. CLA is the statewide bar association dedicated to promoting “excellence, diversity, and inclusion in the legal profession and fairness in the administration of justice and the rule of law.”

CLA’s Diversity Award is granted to law firms and other legal organizations for their efforts towards diversity in their institutions and the legal industry at large. Past recipients of CLA’s Diversity Award, including when it was presented to firms by the State Bar of California, include several AmLaw100 firms, putting DTO Law in esteemed company.

Since the firm’s inception in 2019, DTO has been continually recognized for its dedication to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The firm has received Chambers and Partners’ “Outstanding Firm for Diversity & Inclusion (USA),” was named The National Association of Minority & Women Owned Law Firms’s (NAMWOLF) “Law Firm MVP,” was honored by the Los Angeles Business Journal at its “Diversity, Equity + Inclusion Symposium and Awards,” and several DTO attorneys have been appointed chairs or speakers on national and local diversity panels.

“D&I initiatives are fine, but if you really want to have a diverse and inclusive organization, you must bake it into the DNA itself. That is to say ‘diversity and inclusion’ is not just the name of the latest training video or the new company buzzwords. It IS the company,” William Delgado stated in an interview with Thrive Global.
