DTO Law Promotes Michael Davis to Partner
DTO Law, with offices in Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, and New York, is pleased to announce that Michael W. Davis has been elevated to Partner.
Based in Los Angeles, Michael focuses his practice on bankruptcy law and financial transactions. His transactional work includes revenue-based financing, lending, and distressed debt restructuring. Michael has particular experience in the asset-backed lending space, where he advises commercial lenders as to the structuring, underwriting, and documentation of financing transactions including real estate and inventory financing. On a daily basis, he counsels management and business teams on various commercial financing, workout, and insolvency issues.
He has advised on, overseen, and closed hundreds of middle market real estate and personal property-secured commercial loan transactions ranging from $2 million to $50+ million and regularly provides advice with respect to participation in larger billion-dollar commercial loan syndications. Michael has negotiated and documented a full range of real estate secured loans including construction, ground lease, permanent/term, working capital, and revolving loans. Michael also advises DTO’s clients on issues relating to Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code including inter-creditor arrangements and security and priority issues. In his insolvency practice, Michael advises DTO clients in loan work outs by developing strategies to restructure loans, mitigate the risk of loss, and seek recovery.
