A veteran of over 30 trials where she served as lead counsel, Ashley Lile joined DTO after nearly a decade of practicing as a trial lawyer in both the public and private sectors. Her practice focuses on complex business litigation, particularly defending consumer class actions and intellectual property claims. Ashley’s extensive trial experience has enabled her to efficiently litigate a variety of claims, ranging from trademark dilution to false advertising to contract disputes.

Ashley began her legal career in Los Angeles at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP, where she was a member of a trial team that successfully litigated a five-month patent infringement claim in Boston, resulting in a $127 million verdict for the client. She later served as a Los Angeles Deputy City Attorney for five years, during which she tried over 30 criminal cases to jury verdict. After moving from Los Angeles to Louisville, Kentucky, Ashley continued her criminal trial work, most recently serving as an Assistant County Attorney.

When not litigating, Ashley teaches Advanced Litigation courses to paralegals and Criminal Law courses to criminal justice majors at a Kentucky college. She is also passionate about mentoring high school and college students interested in a legal career. As a member of a Louisville high school’s Pre-Law Advisory Committee, Ashley lends support and guidance to both teachers and students in the magnet pre-law program.

Ashley is conversant in Spanish and loves to travel with her family.
