Will Delgado Speaks to Los Angeles Times

In a recent Los Angeles Times article entitled “Did Ye’s revenge music video go too far?” Will Delgado discusses Kanye West’s newly released music video for the song “Eazy,” in which the rapper included violent claymation scenes with characters resembling his ex-wife’s new partner, Pete Davidson. In the article, Will examined California’s criminal code, Section 422, which makes it a crime to communicate a threat that could result in bodily harm or death to someone.

When considering whether or not this is a code violation, Will noted that in Kanye’s video there is a lack of seriousness involved, which statutes typically take into consideration. “[It’s] very difficult for somebody to bring a claim against them on the basis of the content,” said Will.
