Overview
Fiona Hathaway, a recent graduate of NYU School of Law, is the newest member of DTO’s ever-growing New York litigation team.
At NYU, Fiona honed her dispute resolution skills through the Mediation and Advanced Mediation Clinic, where she mediated cases in Brooklyn Small Claims Court. Her legal advocacy abilities were further developed as a member of the Moot Court Board, where she argued at the Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition and coached a team to the semi-finals of the Wechsler Criminal Law Moot Court Competition.
Through her work with the Education Advocacy Clinic at Advocates for Children of New York, Fiona broadened her litigation experience by drafting due process hearing requests and presenting arguments at hearings. She also engaged with a wide range of appellate issues in the Appellate Advocacy Seminar, focusing on brief writing and oral arguments tailored for practice in the New York State Court of Appeals.
Fiona’s international educational background, including an M.A. from University College London and a B.A. from Durham University, United Kingdom, brings a unique global perspective to her practice. Outside of work, Fiona enjoys knitting, yoga, and following Premier League soccer.
