Building Dreams: DTO Law Partners with Habitat for Humanity

On Saturday, July 13, 2024, DTO Law’s Los Angeles office took their teamwork from the courtroom to the construction site. The firm proudly sponsored a Habitat for Humanity Team Build Day, contributing to the building of new homes in the Florence-Firestone community.

The DTO crew joined forces with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) at the Holmes development site. This project will bring eight new two-story townhomes to an area east of the 110 freeway and south of Slauson Avenue. These homes are designed with both families and the environment in mind, featuring attached two-car garages, drought-tolerant landscaping, energy-efficient appliances, and solar energy systems to help reduce utility costs for future homeowners.

The team’s efforts went beyond just building houses; they helped build a stronger, more inclusive community. Habitat LA’s mission aligns closely with DTO’s values of equality and community service. Since 1990, Habitat LA has built, rehabilitated, and repaired over 1,500 houses across greater Los Angeles and beyond, working tirelessly to eliminate substandard housing and make decent, sustainable, and affordable housing a reality for all.
